    Hi!
You will need a program such as Photoshop to get the effect you’re looking for. Here are the basics, first desaturate the photo. This will remove any color from the image, i.e. convert image to black and white. (In Photoshop from the screen menu select ‘Image’, ‘adjustments’, ‘desaturate’)

Then create a new layer (’Layer’, ‘New’, ‘Layer’) and fill this layer with the solid colour of your choice, i.e. Red, Blue, Yellow. Then with this layer selected change your layer Blending option from ‘Normal’ to ‘Multiply’. (’Layer’, Layer Style’, Blending Options’) This will add the colour to the photo and give you the effect as in the Star Trek Poster. Hope this helps! TGN Matt
